Each year, volunteers help create a memorable and celebratory Children’s Day and Festival Day.
This year’s Festival Day & Literary Marketplace is Sunday, September 27th and Children’s Day is Saturday, September 26th, both in Downtown Brooklyn. There are a variety of volunteer positions including line monitors, author escorts, information assistants and others, all of which help us make the festival run smoothly for authors and audiences.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and attend a short training session on Zoom. All volunteers will receive an official Brooklyn Book Festival T-shirt to be worn during volunteer shifts.
