Literary Marketplace

We look forward to welcoming publishers and authors to the 2024 Brooklyn Book Festival. Our outdoor Literary Marketplace welcomes more than 200 publishers each year and thousands of visitors stroll through to enjoy the incredible array of books, publishers and literary organizations participating in the Festival. Children’s Day will be September 28th and Festival Day will be September 29th.

Registration information and fees will be available on the website starting April 1st, 2024

BROOKLYN BOOK FESTIVAL EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION

  Festival Day– Sunday, September 29, 2024 10am – 6pm

     Children’s Day – Saturday, September 28, 2024 10am- 4pm

We are now accepting vendors for our wait list only.  The Brooklyn Book Festival is New York City’s largest free literary Festival and welcomes over 30,000 people each year!

Below is more information about booth options and prices. 

The Festival Day & Literary Marketplace will again be in Downtown Brooklyn (Borough Hall Plaza, Columbus Park, and the Korean War Memorial Park) and Children’s Day will be in Brooklyn Commons in Downtown Brooklyn.  The festival attracts passionate book readers from all five boroughs and beyond, and receives extensive media coverage.

In order to exhibit at the Brooklyn Book Festival, an exhibitor must either sell books or book related/literary materials, or represent a literary/literacy program.  You must be a bookseller, publisher, literary magazine, author or literary/literacy organization.

Exhibitors may not resell their space or charge authors to participate in any manner.

About the Literary Marketplace — Prices and Dates

The Festival’s Literary Marketplace is for authors, publishers and literary organizations who sell or distribute books, literary magazines, and other literary materials. The Festival does not accept vendors whose merchandise is not directly related to books and literary materials.

Extra tables: $35 and chairs: $15

No more than three exhibitors may share a booth/table. The festival will accept only one application per table. That applicant must designate the company or companies with whom they are sharing the booth/table and assume the full payment.

Please note:

  • Exhibitors may not bring and use their own canopy.
  • Exhibitors may not resell their space, part of their space, or charge authors to be represented at the Festival.
  • Exhibitors must sell books or book related/literary materials, or represent a literacy program. You must be a bookseller, publisher, literary magazine, author or literacy organization.
  • No refunds will be issued if the exhibitor cancels after September 1, 2024. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Full payment is due with your completed registration form. Registrations are not considered complete unless payment has been received. Placement of exhibitors is determined by festival organizers and will be sent to you by August 25, 2024.

Cancellation: Refunds will not be issued if the Festival is canceled by the government or forces outside the Festival’s decision making authority. If the Brooklyn Book Festival organizers cancel the Festival due to ANY circumstance – including inclement weather, force majeure – a maximum of one half of the paid exhibitor fees will be refunded. In this case, unless a request for the half refund is made within 21 business days following the cancellation notice, half of the fee will be automatically applied as a credit toward the 2025 registration. If such fee credit is not utilized in 2024, the fee is forfeited to the Brooklyn Book Festival.

The Brooklyn Book Festival will take place rain or shine. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather.
