Each season, BKBF presents several international debut authors whom we want to shine the light on for our audience. This year we present Palestinian writer Sara Abou Ghazal (Dream of Ayn Ara), Teme-Augama Anishnabai professor Tyson Stewart (The Return of the Nish), Kurdish writer Agri Ismaïl (Hyper), and Azerbaijani poet Egana Djabbarova (My Dreadful Body trans. Lisa C. Hayden). Special guest Bret Anthony Johnston will introduce the writers and talk about his own experience when he was a debut author.
