For over 50 years, PEN America’s PEN Prison Writing Awards have honored and amplified the work of writers incarcerated throughout the United States. Since 2018, award recipients have been published in an anthology series of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and drama. This event honors the writers published in the latest editions of the PEN Prison Writing Awards Anthology Series, with their work being read and performed by writers and activists including PM Dunne, Randall Horton, Roslyn Smith, and Kashawn Taylor. Attendees will have the opportunity to write notes to the writers featured in the program, and learn more about how to support the work of incarcerated writers.
