Join author/illustrator Jaque Jours, author of The Muéganos, for a conversation about the creative process behind her debut picture book with Adam Levy, her editor and publisher of Transit Children’s Editions. They’ll discuss the evolution of her work, from early sketches and visual storytelling to the editorial collaboration that shaped the final book, which has garnered a swell of starred reviews and led to Jaque’s poster design for the 2026 Brooklyn Book Festival. Following the conversation, Jours will lead an interactive workshop, focusing on approach to character, composition, and visual narrative.
