Cookbook or Memoir: Genre-bending with Asian American Food Writers presented by the Asian American Writers’ Workshop

Join Asian American food writers Eric Kim (Korean American: Food That Tastes Like Home), Priya Krishna (Indian-Ish: Recipes and Antics from a Modern American Family), Abi Balingit (Mayumu: Filipino American Desserts Remixed), and Betty Ann Quirino (Every Ounce of Courage: A Daughter’s Reflections On Her Mother’s Bravery) as they talk about what it means to use food as a focal point for one’s personal narrative, redefining cookbooks and memoirs to allow for both recipe and story to shine. Moderated by Jafreen Uddin, Executive Director, AAWW.
