Wilfred U. Codrington III

Wilfred U. Codrington III, an assistant professor at Brooklyn Law School and a fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, is the co-author of The People’s Constitution: 200 Years, 27 Amendments, and the Promise of a More Perfect Union (The New Press 2021). The book, which examines the history and future of constitutional change in America, aligns with Professor Codrington’s teaching, research, and scholarship, which focus on constitutional reform and the law of democracy. A first-time book author, Professor Codrington has published law review articles on American constitutionalism and democracy, including “Purcell in Pandemic” (NYU Law Review, 2021) and “So Goes the Nation” (Columbia Law Review Forum, 2020). Professor Codrington has written opinion pieces for outlets such as The Atlantic, Slate, The American Prospect, and The Hill, and is a frequent legal commentator for print and video media.
