Wanjiku wa Ngugi

Wanjiku wa Ngũgĩ was born in Kenya and has lived and worked in Eritrea, Zimbabwe and Finland. She has written plays, short stories, and the novel The Fall of Saints. She is the founder and former director of the Helsinki African Film Festival. She was an editor at Africa World Press and a contributor to anthologies, including New Daughters of Africa. She is a member of the editorial board of Matatu: Journal for African Literature and Culture and Society. Wanjiku is the daughter of world-renowned author, Ngugi wa Thiong'o. At the Festival, she will present her new novel Seasons in Hippoland.
