Vince Warren is the Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights, where he has led groundbreaking civil and human rights advocacy for more than two decades. He is a noted organizational leader and expert on racial injustice and discriminatory law enforcement. Warren held the 2023 Haywood Burns Chair in Civil and Human Rights at CUNY School of Law. He contributed to the edited volume Lawyering for Liberation: a Tool Box for Movement Lawyers. His forthcoming first book Protest is Not a Crime will be published by The New Press and explores the distinct impact of the Trump administration’s criminalization of dissent and protest on racial justice movements.
