Valerie Miles

Valerie Miles is a writer, translator, and editor based in Barcelona. Her work on Roberto Bolaño’s manuscripts led her to curate the first exhibition of his private papers, Archivo Bolaño. An NEA Fellow, she translated Rafael Chirbes, J.E. Cirlot, and edited Azar Nafisi’s Nabokov for Yale. Her work with Milena Busquets won a PEN award, and was a Dublin Prize finalist. Her bibliography includes A Thousand Forests in One Acorn, 25 issues of Spanish Granta, “The Best of Young Spanish-Language Novelists” issues 113 and 155 for Granta, and pieces in El País, The New Yorker, NY Times, Paris Review, etc.
