Tony Crawford is a Miami-born, New York-based trumpeter, rapper, and producer who’s musical range moves between genres, allowing him space to express himself freely through multiple media. A dual-degree graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory in Jazz Performance and Music Composition & Production, his work recalls history, collective memory, inherited cultures, and solidarity amongst the tradition he’s grateful to stand inside of. He’s had the privilege of sharing stages with Grammy-winning saxophonist Tivon Pennicott and mentor Wayne Tucker, and has held residencies at Williamsburg Music Center with two separate acts. In this project Midnight, Jazz & Langston, he offers his slice of life through vibrations.
