Tiffany Dockery is the founder of Gladys Books & Wine, a curated space for Black queer literature, author events, community programming, and meaningful connections. Gladys is named after her grandmother, a Black woman from Mississippi whose home was her first safe space. Opening Gladys is how she plans to give back: by creating a space that honors the BedStuy neighborhood’s rich legacy while offering something new for the next generation that is grounded in beauty, brilliance, and belonging. At Gladys, they celebrate the fullness of Black queer life — through books, wine, and intentional programming. Whether you come to read, rest, organize, flirt, or just be, you’ll know you’re exactly where you belong.
