Rebekah Anderson is a Seattle-based writer and third generation Washington native whose family came to the Pacific Northwest as a result of the Homesteading Act. She earned an MFA in Fiction from New York University, where she worked under the mentorship of E.L. Doctorow. Loosely based on her family history, The Grand Promise is her first novel.
