Priya Hutner is an award-winning author, journalist, and co-founder of the Tahoe Literary Festival. Her writing has appeared in Tahoe Guide, Moonshine Ink, Muse Magazine, and other publications. Her poetry is featured in the Monday Night Poetry Anthology. Priya is a public speaker, leads workshops and curates author events. She is an advocate for the literary arts. Her memoir, Chasing Nirvana: A Seeker’s Story of Love, Loss, and Liberation, recounts her journey in a spiritual cult led by a female guru from Brooklyn, her search for enlightenment and traumatic escape and explores complexities of belief, spiritual entrapment, and personal awakening.
