Mayukh Sen is the author of Taste Makers: Seven Immigrant Women Who Revolutionized Food in America (Norton), named an NPR best book of 2021, one of the Wall Street Journal’s favorite books of 2021, a New York Times Editors’ Choice pick, and longlisted for the 2022 Brooklyn Public Library Book Prize. His biography of the actress Merle Oberon will be published by Norton in 2025. He has won a James Beard Award and IACP Award for his food writing. His work has been anthologized in three editions of The Best American Food Writing. He teaches creative writing at Columbia University.
