Marlon Peterson is writer, speaker, and doer. As a speaker he has shared his journey of triumph over tremendous adversity with millions worldwide. As a writer, he is the author of the memoir, Bird Uncaged: An Abolitionist’s Freedom, and has contributed to books by Colin Kaepernick, NYT best-selling author, Kiese Laymon, and Marshall Project editor, Akiba Solomon. As a doer, Marlon’s span of inspiration has impacted young people and adults in prisons and marginalized communities from Brooklyn to Durban. He’s currently teaching himself screenwriting and working on ways to get his work into as many highs schools and prisons as possible.
