Coming from complementary backgrounds of multi-racial ethnicities streaming in the South, Marielena Gomez majored in creative writing in high school, in her undergraduate studies and is currently the second female in her family to work towards a Masters degree. She began writing as a novice age nine, deeply entwined with the pen to page and quickly filled up notebooks with her daily thoughts, feelings and daydreams. Purposefully choosing a more interesting and often hectic life to live; almost fifty notebooks later, she is still eyeballs deep in a Moleskine, regaling herself with life reflected in its most earnest form.
