Manuel Marsol is a picture book maker with works for all ages that push the boundaries of the medium. Translated into more than ten languages, he has recognitions such as the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustration Award or the Pépite Livre Illustré in France. His first book published in the United States, Astro (Transit Children’s Editions 2025), was a Kirkus Best Book of the year and an ALA Notable Book. Now arrives Ahab and the White Whale (NYRB Kids 2026), which received the International Edelvives Picture book Award, has been exhibited in Book & illustration Fairs around the world and appears in Picture Book Makers (dPictus 2022), alongside other world-class authors.
