M. A. Dennis contains multitudes. Johns Hopkins University Press Blog describes him as “a hilarious but also heartbreaking performance poet.” He’s also been honored as an Emerging Poet for the National Black Writers Conference at Medgar Evers College.
Dennis is the author of the poetry chapbook, Mistaken Identity Crisis (NYSAI Press, 2020), and the short story “Sand as a Boundary for Sea,” appearing in the anthology, Arriving at a Shoreline (great weather for MEDIA, 2022).
He currently resides in Staten Island, NY with his three pet rocks (Chris, Fraggle and Gibraltar).
