Lisa Donovan is a James Beard Award–winning writer, a former New York Times food columnist, and an internationally renowned pastry chef and baker. She has been formative in establishing a technique driven by a historically rich narrative of classic North American pastry and desserts. Lisa centers her work on advocacy and education. In addition to the Times, her work has been featured in The Washington Post, Food & Wine, Bon Appétit, LitHub, Garden & Gun, The Bitter Southerner and Saveur. Lisa is a Penguin Press author, and her first book, Our Lady of Perpetual Hunger, was a recipient of the Les Dames D’Escoffier’s MFK Fisher Prize for Excellence in 2021.
