Kasia Chmielinski (they/them) is the co-founder of the Feminist Bird Club (Jersey City) and a board member of the Feminist Bird Club (National), an organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity in birding and providing opportunities for all communities to connect with the natural world. When not birding, Kasia focuses on the development of intentional technology as the co-principal of the Data Nutrition Project, an initiative that builds tools to mitigate bias in AI. Previously, they held positions at the UN (OCHA), US Digital Service (EOP / OMB), MIT Media Lab, McKinsey & Company, and Google. Kasia’s storytelling work has been supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, Sundance Institute, and NPR.
