Karen Keys

Karen Keys is Coordinator of Young Adult Services at Brooklyn Public Library where she oversees programs and services for teens at 60 libraries. She helped launch Books Unbanned, an initiative to give young people facing censorship and book challenges a free BPL eCard and access to 500,000 e-books and e-audiobooks. Karen also convenes the Intellectual Freedom Teen Council, a group of teens from Brooklyn and across the US dedicated to fighting book bans through education and other activities.
