JR Pepper is an adjunct professor of art history at CUNY Brooklyn College, a freelance lecturer, photographer, and self-described ‘professional eccentric’. Pepper is recognized for her work in spirit photography, featured in Haunted America: FAQ, Vice.com, and Musee Magazine. She is a regular lecturer and contributor for Lectures on Tap, The Dead Ladies, Brooklyn Brainery, and the Long Island Convention of Horror. She is a cemetery tour guide, the lead digital imaging specialist at the famous Burns Archive, and the photographer and author of two books on cemeteries, including Buried Boston: America’s Revolutionary Necropolis and her most recent, Buried New Orleans: The Resilient Cemeteries of the Crescent City.
