John Reed is the author of ten books, including the novels A Still Small Voice, The Whole, and the SPD bestseller Snowball’s Chance. Recent works include the academic nonfiction The Never End: The Other Orwell, the Cold War, the CIA, and the Origin of Animal Farm (Palgrave Macmillan), and his second collection of poetry, Year of Valentines (Spuyten Duyvil). Holding an MFA from Columbia University, Reed’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s, Rolling Stone, and Best American Essays. He is an Associate Professor and Director of the MFA in Creative Writing at The New School.
