Jeyamohan is considered one of the most prolific and profound writers in modern Indian literature. Apart from fiction, Jeyamohan writes literary criticism and discourses on Indian philosophy, and he created an educational institution (Nityavanam) to teach philosophy and arts. His readers formed a literary organization in India in his novel’s name, Vishnuopuram Literary Circle, which has branches in the USA, Britain, and Europe. Jeyamohan wrote 21 novels, including the magnum opus Venmurasu, a reimagination of the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata. Jeyamohan’s three novels (The Abyss, White Elephant, and The Daughter of Kumari) and two short story collections (Stories of the True and One Million Footsteps) are published in English.
