Jay Deshpande is the author of Love the Stranger (YesYes Books) and The Umbrian Sonnets (Pank). The recipient of a Wallace Stegner Fellowship and the Scotti Merrill Memorial Award, he teaches at Columbia University and Sarah Lawrence College and runs the Brooklyn Poets Mentorship Program.
