Jabari Asim

Jabari Asim is the author of 13 books for children and 8 books for adults. His most recent works include Yonder, a novel, and Me and Muhammad Ali, a children’s book. He is a Guggenheim Fellow whose work has been included in Best American Essays and Best American Poetry. A longtime journalist, he is the former deputy editor of Washington Post Book World and editor-in-chief of the NAACP’s Crisis magazine. He is a Professor at Emerson College, where he directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing.
