Ilene Kalish is executive editor of NYU Press. With over twenty-five years of experience in academic publishing, she publishes books for general readers, scholars and students. Her books have won over 100 book awards and are focused on issues of social justice, inequality, and current events. She is a judge for the Association of American Publishers' PROSE Awards and is the Chair of the Faculty Outreach Committee for the Association of University Presses.
