Ian Ross Singleton is a fiction writer and a translator of literature from the Russian and Ukrainian languages. He teaches classes on fiction writing and translation at various institutions including Great Books Summer Camp in Amherst, Massachusetts. His debut novel Two Big Differences, about the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity, came out in 2021 and was called a “masterpiece” by writer Dmitry Bykov. His translation of The Shipwright by Yuri Yanovsky will come out in 2027 from Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute Books. He is a member of the Turkoslavia Translation Collective and served as Nonfiction Editor of Asymptote from 2022-2025.
