Harold Goldberg is a video game columnist for The New York Times. His new novel, The Skinny, is a gritty noir novel that takes place in and around 1990’s New York City, from the West Village to the East Village to the Lower East Side. It is inspired by the best narratives in video games. Goldberg has written for The New York Times Book Review, Vanity Fair, New York magazine, and elsewhere. He is also the founder of the nonprofit New York Videogame Critics Circle, its Playing With Purpose programs and The New York Game Awards.
