Claudia Zuluaga

Claudia Zuluaga’s first novel, Fort Starlight (Engine Books, 2013), was described by The New York Times as an “entertaining debut,” and “a moving story of half-recovered dreams” that is “beautifully executed.” Publishers Weekly called it an “absorbing, expertly written debut.” Fort Starlight was shortlisted for the VCU Cabell First Novel Prize. Claudia lives in Maplewood, New Jersey with her husband and two children. She has an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and is on the writing faculty at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her short fiction has been featured in Narrative Magazine, Lost, JMWW, Jellyfish Review, and others.
