CHERYL WILLIS HUDSON is an author and the editorial director of Just Us Books, Inc., an independent publishing company founded with her husband Wade Hudson. The press focuses on Black history, culture and experiences for young people. Her books include Bright Eyes, Brown Skin, AFRO-BETS ABC Book, BRAVE.BLACK.FIRST. and three anthologies she co-edited with Wade: We Rise, We Resist, We Raise Our Voices; The Talk: Conversations About Race, Love & Truth and RECOGNIZE! An Anthology Honoring and Amplifying Black Life.
A member of SCBWI and CYAB Committee of PEN America, Cheryl is a commited advocate of diversity in children’s literature.
