Carolina Muriel is a journalist, writer and editor, and a 2026 Writing Fellow with A Public Space. She is the co-founder of Pizza Shark, a boutique production house boasting Webbys, iHeartPodcast Awards, and Ambie nominations. Previously, Carolina covered immigration, street art, craft beer, entertainment and culture for the BBC World Service, the Miami Herald, and Miami’s NPR affiliate. Her writing and journalism have earned recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, Tin House, the Macondo Writing Workshop, and the Trauma Research Foundation. Her work is in NPR, Audible, Prairie Schooner, the Undocupoets anthology Here to Stay, and elsewhere.
