Brent Hayes Edwards is a professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. He is the author of The Practice of Diaspora: Literature, Translation, and the Rise of Black Internationalism. In 2009, he edited a new printing of W.E.B. DuBois’s The Souls of Black Folks. In 2023, he co-wrote and edited the autobiography of jazz musician Henry Threadgill Easily Slip Into Another World: A Life in Music.
