Balint Zsako (Bunny & Tree) was born in Budapest, Hungary. His family immigrated to Canada when he was ten years old. At university, he studied photography, but for the last 20 years, he has been exhibiting paintings and collages. Publishers Weekly named Balint a Spring 2023 Flying Start, recognizing Bunny & Tree as one of the season’s six most promising children’s debuts. Balint’s drawings have appeared in the New Yorker, Harper’s, and the New York Times Magazine, as well as the film Take This Waltz. He lives in Los Angeles with his family.
