Baldwin Lee (b. 1951) is a photographer and educator. Lee received a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MFA from Yale University. He is Professor Emeritus at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he founded the photography department and has taught since 1982. Lee’s photographs are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (NY), The Museum of Fine Arts (VA), and The Morgan Library and Museum (NY), among others. He has been honored with fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation (1984) and the National Endowment for the Arts (1984 and 1990).
