Astra Baker is a young woman of Afro-Caribbean descent, born and based in Brooklyn, New York. She is guided by her discipleship in Christ, which inspires her to take a non-conventional approach in her writing. By blending maverick subject matters with idyllic imagery, she has found her distinctive voice characterized by its depth and range. Astra is currently enrolled in the MFA program at St. Francis College, concentrating in Creative Writing with a specialization in Fiction. She is currently in the process of writing her first novel.
