Arlene Klein

Arlene Klein is an author, poet and editor. Her published works that have been nominated for Dog Writers’ Association of America Maxwell Awards are: “I Never Wanted To Say Goodbye,” a collection of poems to comfort those who mourn the loss of a treasured pet. “Souls Never Leave,” poetry to Celebrate the life of a pet. “A Day In The Life of a Dog,” a video on
responsible pet ownership, which she wrote, directed and produced.
One of her poems, “Erica’s Song,” was published in the DWAA Award winning book, “Dog Spelled Backwards-Soulful Writing by Literary Dog Lovers.” Award Winning Author, Mordecai Siegal. St. Martin’s Press 2007.
She is the author/writer of “The Grandfather of Possibilities,” an inspirational biography about Ron Klein. A passionate animal lover, dedicated to animal health and welfare, she has served on the board of
Morris Animal Foundation since 1991 and several animal health and welfare boards. She now holds the honorary position of Trustee Emeritus.
She lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband and their beautiful RAGDOLL cat, MISSY
