Aidan Levy’s most recent book is Saxophone Colossus: The Life and Music of Sonny Rollins, which won a 2023 American Book Award. His book Dirty Blvd. is about the life and music of Lou Reed, and he is editor of Patti Smith on Patty Smith. Aidan Levy is an assistant professor of English at the University of Saint Joseph; and his writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Nation, and The Village Voice. Aidan is also a professional saxophonist.
